Driving Directions
From Vienna/ Klagenfurt Airport to Schloss Velden:
Take the Süd Autobahn A2 in the direction of Villach, Italien, Slowenien for about 9 km.
Follow the sign Villach – Pörtschach Ost and continue on the A2 for about 13 km.
Leave the A2 on the Exit Velden Ost. Take the B83, called Klagenfurterstrasse, in the direction of Velden. Follow the B83 for 1.5 Km.
Leave the B83 at the Karawankenplatz. Take the second exit in the direction of Wörthersee.
From Ljubljana in Slowenian to Velden (107 km in 1h19)
Take the Zavaska Cesta (108) for 84 meters. Take the A1 at the connection point Ljubljana-Sentjakob. At connection point Cona Moste, after 2 Km, change from A1 to H3. Follow H3 for 8 Km.
At the connection point Ljubljana-Siska, leave H3 and join Celovska Cesta (8) for 3 Km. At the connection point Ljubljana-Sentvid, take the A2 for 20 Km. Leave A2 at the connection point Kranj Vzhod an joing H1 for 12 Km. Leave H1 and head straight onto 101 for 18 Km.
Leave 101 and turn right onto the Loiblpaßstrasse (B91). Continue for 22 Km until Klagenfurt. In Klagenfurt, take the Southern route and change onto the A2 in the direction of Villach, Italien.
Leave the A2 on the Exit Velden Ost. Take the B83, called Klagenfurterstrasse, in the direction of Velden. Follow the B83 for 1.5 Km.
Leave the B83 at the Karawankenplatz. Take the second exit in the direction of Wörthersee.
From north/south
Take A10 in the direction of Slowenia (coming from the north) or in direction to Salzburg (coming from the south). At Knoten Villach, change onto the A2 in the direction of Klagenfurt.
Leave the A2 on the Exit Velden Ost. Take the B83, called Klagenfurterstrasse, in the direction of Velden. Follow the B83 for 1.5 Km.
Leave the B83 at the Karawankenplatz. Take the second exit in the direction of Wörthersee.
From west/east
Take the A2 in the direction of Klagenfurt (coming from the west) or in the direction of Villach (coming from the east). Leave the A2 on the Exit Velden Ost.
